In our world of mobile devices and apps, we’re moving more and more away from the world of physical software. We don’t need to wait years for a piece of software to be available that can do magical things. In our current state of the world, we have an app for anything. And, thus, we need it now.
No longer is our current state of software worthy of release. All software companies do is release an update as soon as a bug appears. It’s very common to see several updates on my mobile device every day — sometimes twice a day for the same app.
We’re all beta testers. In the guise of using an app, we are actually testing it and reporting bugs. Who needs a Quality Control team, when we have the general public for that.
Gosh, now what am I going to do with all that boxed software?
